Making Memories
When you have Kids its a good idea to take some time to make memories with them. Today Deb and I made a morning trip with our Kids to Brown’s Isle in Richmond. Along the way we stopped at Shockoe Esspresso to grab a cup of Coffee and some bagels to fill up and get warm because it was a brisk windy morning. Once we got to Brown’s Isle the sun was enough to keep us warm despite the wind.
After we parked, we let our boys walk with us while I pushed Eli in the stroller along the path to Brown’s Island. Our first stop on the trip, was to the bridge over the James River(This spot happens to be my favorite view of Richmond). After our trip onto the Bridge, we went back to the wide open area of Brown’s Isle. There we threw balls, frisbee’s, and ran around acting silly and having a grand ole time. Eli crawled around chasing balls back and forth. Deb and I got to play a short game of frisbee, something we haven’t done in a few years. About an hour into our play time our kids started to wear out so we sat them down and had a quick snack. During our snack our Boys got to see their first live Train pass by. Sitting down with them helping them enjoy their snack was one of the best moments of our trip. I love spending time with my kids and plan on doing trips like this morning often. This has been the Best Saturday Morning in a while.
I wish I had photos to share, but we forgot our camera at home. I did find some photos of Browns Island on Flickr.
